Rankless

A world of ranks. And you don't seem to fit anywhere.

Welcome to Rankless, an 18+ fantasy visual novel about waking up somewhere you don't belong—and trying to figure out what to do next.

So, where are you?

Good question. You wake up in an unfamiliar world with no memory of how you got there. Here, women can awaken a power called Astra, and their rank says a lot about how people treat them.

You're a man, an outsider, and apparently not someone who can awaken that power. At least, that's what everyone keeps telling you.

But you didn't come this far just to take their word for it.

Try the demo

v0.1.0 — Free Public Demo for Windows

The first demo is here! You'll meet some of the characters, find your way around the capital, and attend the Astra ceremony. It's the beginning of your time in Asteria, with more of the story still to come.

To play: Download the ZIP, extract the whole folder, and open the game's .exe file. You don't need to install Ren'Py.

Rankless is still in development, so things may change as I keep working on it.

Let me know what you think

I'd love to hear how your first visit to Asteria went. Have a favorite character? A moment that stuck with you? Something that felt confusing? Leave a comment below.

If you find a bug or a typo, let me know too. For bugs, please include your game version and what you were doing when it happened. It makes tracking them down much easier.

Follow this page if you'd like to hear about future updates.

Want to support the game?

If you enjoyed the demo and want to help me keep working on Rankless, you can support the project on Patreon.

No pressure, though. The demo is free, and I'm glad you gave it a try.

A quick note before you play

This game is for adults only (18+). The demo includes nudity and sexual themes.

I currently use AI-generated artwork. As resources allow, I'd like to hire an artist and replace it with commissioned art. I want to be upfront about that while the game is still taking shape.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your time in Asteria.
